•Preschool - Grade school students (up to 35 children) will take a Lovely Hen Farm tour, connecting with the land and experiencing the sensory joys of the farm, including Viewing of Koi Pond, spotting frogs, feeding chickens, digging for worms, & viewing cows.
• Participants will enjoy beautiful Landscaping, the wonderful aroma of blossoming flower arrangements, view bees buzzing, tour the garden tasting herbs, learning about fresh fruits and veggies
• Break time is available Tents provided for shade with snacks & picnic tables for groups who wish to take a break.
• Last portion of trip is dedicated to enjoying the outdoor elements. Birdwatching, Singing, Listening to Farm music, & 2 outdoor group activities. Coloring, Painting & Bubbles.
Water and Chips are Available for each person.
Hand Sanitizer, Porter Potty & running water available.
Dates will be scheduled at least 2 weeks in advance.
Barnyard Chicken– A mixed breed chicken.
12 Day Old Chicks
The day-old chicks need to be kept at a constant 95° their first week, 90° the second week, and so on (reducing 5° per week) until they're five to six weeks old or reach the ambient outdoor temperatures. A 250-watt, red infrared heat lamp suspended over the middle of the brooder is the recommended source for this heat.
